By the time this post publishes, who knows, I might be in my new home already! However, I am so excited to announce that Royal Oak Massage will be in its new home soon inside of Motor City Float in Clawson! It’s both terrifying and exciting, after all, Royal Oak Massage was ‘born’ back in 2004 in a small shared office space and that’s where I’ve been this entire time. However, through much growth, some challenges, and some refocusing, it was time for a change.
I am so excited to join the MCF family, it’s a new business located at 1203 W. 14 Mile Road, in Clawson. So while I will technically be out of Royal Oak, I’ll just be half a mile north of the city so for now, the name will stay the same.
If you’re not familiar with float therapy, you can have a read right here. At present time I have done two floats and they were amazing. The first time it was a little difficult being completely unplugged for an hour, not having any concept of time, etc., but I found it to be a nice and welcome change. My second float was even better than the first though. Knowing more what to expect, and then really being able to get into that meditative space so much quicker, it was bliss.
One thing that I am truly excited about is the space that I will be in. You see, Royal Oak Massage has never been called a spa, and I am 100% okay with that because I don’t want to be a spa. I fix people, they shouldn’t care about what the ambiance is like, but some people do, and over the years, I’ve started to care more and more about it. In my old space, I was limited with what I could do with the shared lobby space, but at Motor City Float, well you are going to be blown away with everything. Sean and Angie put so much hard work into creating a serene, tranquil, calm space and it shows. I am so excited to get in there and share it with you all.
I look forward to seeing where Royal Oak Massage goes in 2017 and beyond, and hope that you will join me!
In good hands,
Rebecca Tamm, LMT
