The Michigan Massage and Wellness Approach
Michigan Massage and Wellness isn’t a spa. We’re into helping you relax and also fixing things.
- Back pain
- Shoulder pain
- Plantar Fasciitis
We don’t believe in a ‘one massage fits all’ cookie cutter approach as everyone’s bodies are different and have different problems so they require different solutions.
We are confident that when you choose Michigan Massage and Wellness you will see that the personalized service and attention to detail is what sets us apart and what has kept clients coming back since we opened our doors in 2004.
Brenda Andes, LMT and lead therapist
Brenda has been with Michigan Massage and Wellness since 2018, shortly after she graduated Irene’s Myomassology Institute.
She is our goddess of all things relaxation and therapeutic. Her massage style (both therapeutic and Ashiatsu) have been described as “laying on a cloud filled with puppies and sunshine”. And we would be lost without her!
Her background as a chiropractic assistant helps her work with the pain problems in her clients, and her soothing approach will leave you wondering what took so long to get in to see her.
When she’s not kneaded (haha) by clients she loves spending time outdoors with her husband and their 2 dogs, Winston and Kalani finding adventure everywhere, creating new dishes in the kitchen and catching up on all things paleo.
Naomi Ursan, LMT
Naomi is our newest member of the Michigan Massage and Wellness family. After she completed her internship hours with us in 2019 as part of her training with The Carnegie Institute she officially joined us as a licensed massage therapist in 2020.
Naomi’s clients love her calm, caring demeanor and she has gotten rave reviews for her scalp massages, so be sure to ask for one at your next appointment!
She has an interest in all that we have to offer in our practice and is eager to learn new techniques and modalities to better assist everyone that lands on her table.
In her spare time, Naomi enjoys traveling (with Thailand being at the top of her bucket list) and spending time with her family.
Rebecca Tamm, LMT-Owner/body ninja
People don’t come to see me to relax, I’m the problem solver. Frozen shoulder is my jam. So is plantar fasciitis, migraines, sciatica and all of the sticky and icky joints that spending too much time sitting brings.
I also love helping people move better and I do that through my Yoga Tune Up® classes and Corrective Exercise Specialist training with NASM, in our office, your office or through the your computer via our online programs.
To know me is to know that I love all things food, travel (Delta Medallion status, FTW!), Netflix binges, making a mess in my kitchen on my latest paleo creation and my dogs, Cooper and Elliot, who are frequent visitors at the office.
Cooper and Elliot-The Useless Office Assistants
Rebecca's pups-Cooper and Elliot are frequent visitors in the office. They are both certified therapy dogs through The Go Team Crisis, Airport and Therapy Dogs and love being in the treatment room with clients, hanging out in the studio working on their mobility or at home on the couch where they're not supposed to be.
